Kategorie: Sung in Mother Tongue

Some things can only be sung in the language you were born into, or in the one your land spoke long before you. This collection gathers records that turn away from modern English and speak in their own tongue: the Belarusian laments of Dymna Lotva, the Finnish melancholy of Tenhi, the French reveries of Alcest, the German poetry of Dornenreich, the Bavarian dialect of Gràb, the Old English echoes of Arð, and the Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish and Romanian voices of Katla, Vemod, Forndom and Negura Bunget.

You may not understand every word. You will understand what they mean.
